UK Tube Station Walls
Glasgow Station Upgrade
Being underground, this project presented several challenges for the professional applicator and Nutech Paint representative. A bright white was chosen for the walls to create some illusion of light in an otherwise very dark space, and large industrial heaters were used to assist in drying times.
Prior to work, the walls were pressure washed to remove any dirt and thoroughly dried. All surfaces were then coated with Nutech Paint’s Metal Primer.
Two applications of the top coat were applied. Nutech Paint’s Tileflex in white was chosen for colour, longevity and sealing properties. Industrial heaters were again used to help with drying times and curing the top coat.
Due to the scale of the project and ongoing works with surrounding stations, the entire project was undertaken over several years.
