Liquid Applied Silicone Coating

NXT Seal Coat is a single component, solvent-borne, moisture-cured, fluid-applied silicone coating. NXT Seal Coat is a breathable membrane possessing superior weathering and water resistance capabilities.

Application and Features

NXT Seal Coat is provides elemental protection for architectural surfaces (including vertical walls), masonry, concrete and metal. It is also a suitable top coat over polyurethane elastomeric base coats where improved traffic and impact resistant characteristics are required. NXT Seal coat also makes a good top coating for single-ply roof membranes and sprayed urethane foam systems, and is not affected by ponding water.

The application of NXT Seal Coat is not recomended for cryogenic tanks or cold storage roofing aplications witout a vapour barrier. Do not apply NXT Seal Coat on bitumen, asphalt, or coal tar roofing systems without a sealer.

NXT Seal Coat should be mixed well before use and can be applied with a brush, roller or airless sprayer. If using an airless sprayer, ensure hoses have not been used for an acrylic application, as this can cause NXT Seal Coat to cure prematurely. Coats of NXT Silicone should be applied within 24 hours of each other, and Nutech Paint recommends at least 2 coats to ensure a full and uniform adhesion. Coatings should be applied evenly and be pinhole free. Apply coats at right angles to each other.

Warnings

Do not use NXT Seal Coat for a continuous immersion service.

Only apply at temperatures below 50°F, and subsequent coats within a 24 hour time frame.
